Accessibility
Verified measures, known difficulties and help with accessing AutosOcasion and wheel.news. This statement is based on a limited review and does not establish site-wide conformity.
Last updated 2026-10-211. Scope of this statement
It covers AutosOcasion at www.autosocasion.com and the English, French, German, Italian and Portuguese editions of wheel.news at www.wheel.news. The publisher is Merito Media LLC; its details appear in Legal notice.
The review of 21 October 2026 includes a Spanish-language sample: the homepage, car category, a search for “Ford”, an article about air recirculation, the finance calculator, contact page, events list and map, newsletter archive, subscription invitation, menus and cookie preferences.
Application tests also check informational templates and forms in all six languages. This is not a complete interactive assessment of each edition, the entire archive, administration or linked services.
2. Reference and review status
WCAG 2.2 provides a technical reference for examining keyboard use, focus, structure and help with forms. We do not have a complete evaluation establishing a conformity level for the site.
Checks combine code inspection, browser interaction and automated application tests. They are not an external audit, certification or testing with disabled people. The screen-reader experience has not been verified.
3. Measures verified in the sample
Reviewed pages identify their language and main content. The “Skip to content” link moves focus to the main area. The accessibility page has section headings and a contents index that can be expanded with the keyboard on narrow screens.
We check opening menus with Enter, moving through options with arrow keys and closing with Escape; the mobile menu has open and close controls. The newsletter invitation lets you reach the email field with Tab and close it with Escape or its buttons.
Reviewed contact, subscription and calculation fields have labels. Native validation identifies required fields. Server errors appear in a focusable summary and are associated with affected fields; its links lead back to fields for correction. Form confirmation receives focus on loading.
Analytics preferences can be opened through “Cookies” and rejected with the keyboard. When a choice closes the panel, focus returns to the control that opened it. Focus indicators for links, controls and table regions have been reinforced.
Calculator example tables have row and column headers and a caption. Table regions can receive focus and be scrolled with the keyboard. Reading in narrow windows is checked; this does not replace testing actual zoom or all content.
4. Difficulties and areas awaiting assessment
Images: the review found a secondary image without an alternative description in the article about air recirculation, in the Spanish edition. Its credit identifies only its provenance. Section text is available, but has not been verified to convey all visual information. Editorial review of this image and the wider archive remains outstanding; you can request a description through the contact form.
The accessible name of some grouped markers contains only a number, which can make their events difficult to identify before opening them. Maps: interpretation with screen readers has not been assessed. For events, use the list view and event pages, which provide dates and location as text. Contact also shows the written address and an external map link. A specific assessment of maps remains outstanding.
Contrast across all states, actual zoom magnification, forced colours, assistive technologies and every combination of languages and devices have not been fully assessed. A check finding no issue in the sample does not demonstrate an absence of barriers throughout the site.
Support: the contact form is the published channel for these requests. If the form itself prevents reporting a difficulty, this review has no verified alternative operational public channel. This limitation remains open.
5. Articles, images and tables
The sample includes editorial text, photographs or illustrations, explanatory tables, a glossary and event lists. Articles may combine textual and visual information; we do not assume every description is sufficient simply because an alternative attribute exists.
Video or audio players and our own downloadable documents have not been tested in this sample. External source documents have not been assessed either. If a format blocks access, identify the content and request a textual explanation or another useful alternative through the contact form.
6. External components and alternatives
The contact map embeds Google Maps; event maps use Leaflet and OpenStreetMap tiles. The written address, event list and event pages provide information without requiring map manipulation. Following an external link differs from using an embedded component.
Google Analytics is optional and can be rejected without losing access to content. Connections and preferences are explained in Cookie policy and Privacy. Third-party provision does not automatically exempt a component from responsibilities.
7. How and where checks were performed
We use the review environment’s integrated browser on Windows, on desktop and with simulated 320- and 390-pixel windows. A browser version has not been recorded for a compatibility matrix; simulated sizes are not tests on physical phones.
We check Tab, Enter, arrow and Escape actions, focus state, document names and structure, and narrow-screen layout. PHPUnit tests verify responses, errors and confirmations; JavaScript tests check focus management and error associations.
No screen readers, braille displays, voice control or user testing have been used. Nor has there been a complete evaluation of all WCAG criteria. These details describe examined environments, not a guarantee of universal compatibility.
8. Reporting a difficulty
Use the contact form, choose Editorial enquiry and explain that the request concerns accessibility. If possible, include the URL, what you were trying to do, what happened and any known browser, device or assistive technology details. Also describe a useful response format or alternative.
You do not need to disclose a diagnosis, prove a disability, provide health data or attach screenshots or files. The form asks for your name, email and message to handle the enquiry; the email address is not published.
9. Handling requests and alternatives
The form records the request and displays a reference. The editorial team can track its status. Further information may be needed to reproduce the difficulty or assess a textual explanation or another format; immediate conversion of any material is not guaranteed.
No specific response time is published for these requests. Any legally applicable deadlines will be respected. Individual assistance does not replace correcting barriers. Message processing is explained in Privacy.
10. Preparation and review
Statement prepared and latest limited review: 21 October 2026. It records both implemented, verified corrections and outstanding limitations, without assigning unagreed completion dates. A future review date and the text’s update date may differ.
