Terms and conditions of use
Rules for accessing and using AutosOcasion and wheel.news, their content, tools, events calendar and newsletters. This page explains their scope and the rights of people using the publication.
Last updated 2026-10-211. Publisher and purpose
These terms govern use of wheel.news, available at www.wheel.news. AutosOcasion is the Spanish edition at www.autosocasion.com; wheel.news brings together the English, French, German, Italian and Portuguese editions at www.wheel.news.
The publisher is Merito Media LLC, located at 407 Lincoln Rd, Suite 6H, Miami Beach, FL 33139, United States. Publisher information is available in Legal Notice; contact us through the contact form.
These terms cover this site's editorial features. Any service with specific terms must display them before use or purchase; those terms apply within their scope while respecting legally recognised rights.
2. Nature and scope of the publication
We publish news, guides, analysis, a glossary and an events calendar covering cars, motorcycles, caravanning, boating, aviation, mobility and commercial vehicles. Our aim is to help readers understand technologies, costs, maintenance and buying options.
Read each item in light of its format, date, market, sources and assumptions. A translation retains the original geographic scope: changing the language does not automatically adapt a rule to another country. A manufacturer's announcement is not the same as commercial availability or a road test.
We use automation to support research, writing, review and translation. Not every publication receives individual human review or reflects first-hand experience. Our methodology and updating criteria are explained in How We Work.
Prices, discounts, specifications, availability and regulations can change. Check final conditions with the manufacturer, supplier or relevant authority. General information on financing, regulations, maintenance and safety does not replace a contract, vehicle documentation or the professional advice or work your situation requires.
3. Access to content
Open content and tools are available free of charge without creating an account. You need a suitable device and connection. The administration area is reserved for authorised people.
Browsing does not purchase a vehicle, arrange finance, reserve tickets or accept paid services. Nor does it constitute consent to advertising, analytics or processing requiring a specific decision.
4. Newsletters and preferences
The newsletter is free and subscription is voluntary. You must provide an email address, choose an available edition in the relevant language, give the consent requested in the form and confirm your subscription through the link received by email.
A daily bulletin is prepared when there have been at least five new publications since the previous bulletin, selecting up to ten items. Daily frequency therefore does not guarantee a message every day. Published web versions are available in Newsletters.
Bulletins include an unsubscribe link. Opening it displays a confirmation page; confirming cancels every subscription associated with that email address, across all languages and editions. We do not reactivate an unsubscribed address without a new subscription confirmation.
Subscribing does not create a login account or purchase a paid service. Data use and preference management are explained in Privacy.
5. Appropriate use
Use the site lawfully and respect others' rights. Do not access restricted areas without authorisation, introduce malicious code or take action intended to damage or interrupt the service.
Do not impersonate others, present false communications as official or use forms for spam, threats or unlawful content. Do not circumvent access controls, extract personal data without a legitimate basis or reuse materials in breach of rights or licences.
Measures against abuse must be proportionate to its severity and scope, respecting legitimate use and rights recognised by law.
6. Intellectual property and reuse
Original materials, contributions, photographs, illustrations and third-party resources are subject to their respective rights and licences. Their presence in the magazine does not mean the publisher owns all rights or can authorise every reuse.
Reproducing, distributing, adapting or communicating protected materials requires the relevant permission or licence, except where a legal exception or limitation applies. A specific licence stated alongside a resource governs that material; public-domain resources retain their status.
Citing a source does not replace necessary permission. Facts, data and AI-generated materials are not automatically presented as subject to the publisher's exclusive rights. Credits and attributions help identify provenance and conditions.
You may share links. For other uses, consult Texts, photographs, and attributions or ask through the contact form, identifying the material and intended use.
7. Links to the magazine
You may link to public pages in accordance with applicable rules. Do not use links to impersonate the magazine, attribute statements it has not made or suggest a non-existent partnership, sponsorship or endorsement.
A link does not authorise full reproduction of the content, use of our brands as your own or display within an interface that misleads people about its origin.
8. Sources, external services and events
We link to sources, manufacturers, organisers and other external services. A link alone implies neither a commercial relationship nor approval of all destination content; relevant commercial relationships must be disclosed in the content concerned, as explained in wheel.news Editorial Team.
Third parties have their own operators, policies and terms. Before submitting data, buying or booking on their site, check who provides the service and its final conditions. This does not exclude any liability the magazine bears for its own actions.
The calendar provides event information; it does not organise events or sell tickets. Dates, times, access arrangements, prices and venues can change. Outstanding details are marked on the event page: check updates with the organiser before travelling or booking.
You can report potentially unlawful links or rights concerns through the contact form, identifying the page and reason.
9. Calculators and practical checklists
The Tools let you estimate ownership, energy, travel, charging, financing and boating costs; compare renting and buying; convert power units; calculate mileage-based service references; and prepare for a used-vehicle purchase. They use the entered values and the displayed formulas and assumptions.
Results are not offers, binding quotations, diagnoses or personalised recommendations. The finance calculator uses constant instalments and a nominal rate: it does not calculate APR or incorporate final balloon payments or other contractual terms. The charging calculator does not include all losses or real-world variations.
A mileage-based maintenance reference does not replace time intervals, operating conditions or manufacturer instructions. Checklists are not inspections. Check inputs, units and assumptions; consult a qualified professional about safety, faults or a vehicle's suitability.
10. Corrections and reports
You may report errors, outdated information, attribution issues or possible rights infringements through the contact form. Provide the URL, explain the issue and include verifiable references where possible. Do not send unnecessary personal documentation.
Reports are assessed under Corrections. Requests for rectification or removal governed by a specific legal procedure are handled under that procedure. Submitting a request does not ensure automatic acceptance or prevent you from exercising applicable rights.
11. Availability and operation
Maintenance, updates, technical incidents or connectivity problems can cause interruptions. Operation may vary by device and connection. Measures will be taken as appropriate to the incident and the provider's obligations.
Uninterrupted availability and complete freedom from errors are not guaranteed. This does not limit specific commitments or legally enforceable guarantees.
12. Liability and rights
Each party is responsible for its actions under applicable law. Explanations of the informational nature of content, external services and technical incidents do not exclude legally enforceable liability.
No clause removes non-waivable rights, excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or prevents legal action or complaints.
13. Privacy and cookies
Data processing is explained in Privacy. Local storage, cookies, optional analytics and external resources are described in Cookie Policy, where you can manage your analytics choice.
These terms do not replace those policies or turn reading them into consent. The contact map loads automatically through Google Maps, and event maps use OpenStreetMap; the policies explain these connections separately from your Google Analytics choice.
14. Updates to these terms
We may update this page to reflect legal, editorial or functional changes. The date identifies this version. Changes apply prospectively, respecting information, acceptance and other requirements applicable to existing relationships.
An update does not authorise new charges or retroactive changes to contracted services.
15. Applicable law and disputes
Applicable law and competent bodies are determined by the rules governing the relationship and its circumstances, including the publisher's establishment in the United States and the territories the service targets. An edition's language alone does not determine applicable law.
If you qualify as a consumer, you retain the mandatory protections available to you and may approach the competent bodies under those rules. These terms do not impose exclusive jurisdiction in Miami or a general waiver of rights.
You can submit questions or complaints through the contact form. Prior contact is not a prerequisite limiting access to authorities, bodies or courts.
